The mental health of Canadians has deteriorated\u00a0in the two years since\u00a0the COVID-19 pandemic was declared,\u00a0putting massive pressure on a mental health-care system that was already close to a breaking point.\u00a0 In a\u00a0new survey\u00a0conducted by the Angus Reid Institute in partnership with CBC, 54 per cent of Canadians said their mental health had worsened during the past two years \u2014 with women faring significantly worse than men.
